A graduate in any discipline can pursue post graduate degree in tourism and travel. For admissions into these programs, candidates need to clear the entrance test, group discussion, and personal interview, which are conducted by the Directorate and Department of Tourism. Candidates, proficient in any foreign language, are generally preferred. Duration of these courses vary from 1-2 years, depending on the kind of course one prefers. Besides, there are many short-term certificate courses which run for less than a year's duration. The minimum eligibility for certificate courses is 10+2 pass.

Remuneration
Jobs in travel and tourism industry offer good remuneration. Pay scale differs at different levels, depending upon qualification and experience. As a fresher, one can start earning around Rs. 8000 to Rs. 12000 per month. However, the salary increases as experience grows.
